Industrial RTG Crane: Ideal Solution for a Leased Warehouse

Project Overview
The customer is a leading player in the Canadian automotive injection molding industry. Due to business expansion, they opened a new plant in the U.S. The facility was leased and lacked any lifting equipment. Tom, the workshop manager, was tasked with finding a customized lifting solution. The goal was to source a rubber tyred gantry crane (RTG) that could fit within the shop’s dimensions and provide mobility to lift injection molds.
Product:MGHT32T/20T industrial RTG crane
Application:Used to lift automotive injection molds
Industry:Injection molding
Location:Jackson, Georgia
Project Requirements & Challenges
The customer faced multiple challenges: no modifications to the leased facility, the need for a movable crane to navigate obstacles, and a pressing timeline to meet operational deadlines.

No Alteration to Facility Structure: The new plant was leased, and the existing floor and structure could not be modified. Installing fixed overhead cranes or gantry tracks was not feasible without damaging the floor.
Need for Mobility: The crane needed to be able to move freely across the shop, cover injection molding machines, and pass through columns without restricting movement.
Tight Deadline: The factory’s operations were pressing, and after consulting multiple suppliers, no viable solution was found, putting Tom under significant pressure as the need for the crane became urgent.
Our Solution
AICRANE provided a customized 32T RTG crane, designed to fit within the workshop’s limited space. The crane was mobile, and it required no alterations to the facility’s structure.

Customized Design
The crane tailored to the customer’s workshop size and lifting requirements, providing a flexible solution that met the unique needs of the injection molding operations.
No Damage to Workshop
The RTG crane was designed to operate without requiring any floor modifications or track installations, which would have damaged the leased facility.
Efficient Mobility
The crane design allowed for full movement across the workshop, ensuring it could cover injection molding machines and pass through columns.
